General Questions

Where is Smokey Pines MX located?

Smokey Pines MX is located in Mount Pleasant Township, Pennsylvania, serving riders from across Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, Northern West Virginia, and beyond.


Is Smokey Pines MX an AMA-sanctioned track?

Yes. Smokey Pines MX is proud to operate as an AMA-sanctioned motocross facility. All race events follow AMA rules unless otherwise announced by race officials.


Do I need to create an account?

Yes. Every rider must create a Smokey Pines MX account before participating in practice or race events.

Creating an account allows you to:

  • Register riders
  • Receive Rider IDs
  • Purchase memberships
  • Register for practice and races
  • View race results
  • Manage your rider information

What is a Rider ID?

Each registered rider receives a unique Rider ID.

Example:

SMX-2026-000123

Your Rider ID is used when purchasing:

  • Practice passes
  • Race entries
  • Memberships

Can I register more than one rider?

Yes.

Parents can manage multiple riders under one account.

Each rider receives their own Rider ID.


Practice Days

Do I need a membership to practice?

No.

Memberships are only required for race events.

Anyone may purchase a practice pass after creating an account and registering as a rider.


How much is practice?

Practice passes are:

$40 per rider


Do I need to preregister for practice?

While walk-ins may be accepted, preregistration is strongly encouraged to speed up check-in and reduce wait times.


Race Registration

Do I need a membership to race?

Yes.

Every rider participating in races must have a current Smokey Pines MX Rider Membership.


How much does race entry cost?

  • First Class: $35
  • Each Additional Class: $30

How much is a yearly membership?

Annual Rider Membership:

$25 per rider


Can I race multiple classes?

Yes.

Riders may compete in multiple eligible classes.

Whenever possible, Smokey Pines MX schedules at least one class between your races to provide adequate recovery time.


Can I race if I forgot my membership?

Memberships may be purchased online before the event or at the track during registration.


When does race registration close?

Registration closes:

30 minutes before the start of racing.

Please arrive early.


Race Day Admission

Is admission required?

Yes.

General Admission is required for everyone attending race events, including riders.


How much is admission?

Race Day Admission is:

$15 per person

Children 5 years old and under are admitted free.


Does admission include racing?

No.

Race Entry, Membership, and Admission are separate purchases.


Payments

Can I pay online?

Yes.

Practice, race entries, memberships, admission, and merchandise may all be purchased online.


Can I pay at the track?

Yes.

Event registrations may be paid at the track using:

  • Cash
  • Credit Card

Online merchandise orders must be paid for online.


Waivers

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes.

Every rider must complete a liability waiver.

Minors require a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.


Do you offer online waivers?

Yes.

Smokey Pines MX uses SpeedWaiver for fast and convenient online waiver signing.

Completing your waiver before arriving helps speed up check-in.


Riders Under 18

Can my child race alone?

No.

A parent or legal guardian must always be present.


Can grandparents or friends sign for minors?

Only a parent or legal guardian may complete the required minor release unless legally authorized to do so.


Track Rules

Are pit bikes allowed?

No.

Pit riding of any kind is prohibited.

This includes:

  • Dirt Bikes
  • Pit Bikes
  • Mini Bikes
  • Quads
  • Golf Carts
  • Electric Bikes with throttles

Pedal bicycles without a throttle are permitted.


Can handicapped riders use golf carts?

Yes.

Individuals with approved handicap placards who have completed the required waiver may receive approval from management.


Are fires permitted?

Open fires on the ground are prohibited.

Raised fire pits may be permitted when conditions allow.


What time is quiet time?

Quiet hours begin at:

10:00 PM

The front gate also closes at this time unless otherwise announced.


Is alcohol permitted?

No.

Alcohol and illegal drugs are prohibited anywhere on Smokey Pines MX property.


What happens if someone fights or becomes aggressive?

Aggressive behavior, fighting, threats, or harassment may result in immediate removal from the property without refund.


Race Results

Where can I find race results?

Official Moto Results and Overall Results are posted on our Race Results page shortly after scoring is completed.


Can I protest race results?

Yes.

Race protests must be submitted within:

30 minutes

after the results are posted.

Video evidence is required.

Race Officials’ decisions are final.


Spectators

Can spectators watch anywhere?

Please remain in designated spectator areas and obey all safety barriers.


Are pets allowed?

Friendly pets may be permitted if leashed and under control at all times.

Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.


Camping

Can we camp overnight?

Camping may be available during select events.

Please check the Event Details page for specific event information.


Are generators allowed?

Yes.

Please be respectful of neighboring campers and observe quiet hours after 10:00 PM.


Merchandise
